Karimetra Journal Entry #15

Journal Entry #15
Meditation and beating the crap out of training dummies are very therapeutic.  Instead of mourning the passing of those adventurers, I plan on honoring their lives by following in their footsteps.

Several days after coming to this epiphany, I found myself on a barge in a place called Thousand Needles.  Apparently when the cataclysm hit, the waves were so immense that it flooded this arid land and everything is under water except for these huge mesas which dot the waterscape.  The barge is being shared by gnomes and goblins.  These two diminutive races are similar in a lot of ways – they both kind of scare me with their tinkering with things that would probably be best left alone.  I had to help protect the barge from pirates – I’m getting really tired of dealing with pirates, by the way.  I also “helped” with negotiations of drilling rights – basically I provided the muscle to intimidate a bunch of centaurs.  I’m not really sure who the “good guys” were in this transaction; it didn’t feel like it was our side.  Fortunately all this business didn’t take too long and I was able to leave the area within a couple of weeks.
Let me tell you, the water is not good for plate armor.  When I got back to Stormwind, it cost me a pretty sum to get it re-conditioned so it wouldn’t rust and to get the dents knocked out of it.  I am also having my sword honed and my shield adjusted.  I have to take care of the instruments that protect me.  The armor smith said he would have it ready for me by the end of the week.  It can’t be done any too soon for me.
